The Altona Swimming Club is located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne Australia. Originally established as the Newport Amateur Swimming Club in 1968 the club was relocated to Altona North in 1985. The club currently operates out of the 25m indoor pool at the Altona Swim and Leisure centre in Altona North and is affiliated with the following bodies:
The Club offers a family orientated environment where parents as well as children are able to participate, where the emphasis is on a balanced approach to both personal improvement and competitiveness. The club has 80 active members from the ages of 6 to 55 years. Members participate in the weekly Club nights, Club representative squads at District and State level, and State and National Events. Over the years the club has had representatives in several Para Olympic competitions. Club nights are held on Wednesday nights (exluding School Holidays) between 7:00pm and 9:00pm offering a range of different formats.

We offer a try out period of 2 weeks for people to gain an appreciation of the Club, just show up on the night and ask our friendly door people for assistance. Entry on Club nights is via the Club rooms at the rear of the car park.

- Competitive Swimmer
- $120.00 - 1st swimmer
- $115.00 - 2nd swimmer
- $110.00 - 3rd and subsequent swimmers
- $25.00 - Learn To Swim (Restrictions Apply)
- $20.00 - Non-competitive (Non Swimmers)
- $12.00 - Swim Vic Officials (Accredited with Swimming Victoria)
