Handicaps

What is It

Two types of Handicaps are run during the year.

  1. Standard - Swimmers nominate a time for the swim and attempt to swim as close as possible to the nominated time.
  2. Zero - Swimmers first swim a base time and attempt to swim as close as possible to that time.

The purpose of the series is to aid swimmers in being able to regulate their races time and stragegies.
As a swimmer can nominate any time for a particular swim, or set their own base time, the level of challenge is entirely up to the swimmer.
